Qing, a creative professional with a profound commitment to storytelling, has embraced her love and passion for the craft of filmmaking throughout her life. Armed with a BA in Film and Television Production from Boston University and an MFA in Film Editing from the American Film Institute Conservatory, Qing has traversed an extraordinary path towards realizing her dreams.
Based in the Greater Los Angeles area, Qing thrives as a sought-after freelance editor/assistant editor, lending her expertise to an array of distinguished projects. Her contributions span across a multitude of mediums, including award-winning films, television shows, commercials, and web series. Recently, she has made her mark in Hollywood with her involvement in the Lionsgate production "ARE YOU THERE GOD? IT'S ME, MARGARET.” Her AFI thesis film, "TAPE," garnered significant acclaim, earning a Special Mention for Best US Student Short at the esteemed Palm Springs International ShortFest. Furthermore, her feature film, "BABY, DON'T CRY," enraptured audiences at the renowned Fantasia Film Festival in 2021.
Currently, Qing is passionately engrossed in her latest endeavor, "AUNTIES," a captivating documentary chronicling the lives of Asian immigrant elderly dancers who wholeheartedly embrace life's vibrancy. Through her remarkable skills and unwavering dedication, Qing continues to captivate audiences with her storytelling prowess, leaving an indelible mark on the realm of filmmaking.
